2016/17 Bridge Forum Series

Posted on August 25, 2016

Michael Harris is a noted author, seasoned journalist and political watcher, and on October 27th, he brought his views and shared his experiences at the second Bridge Forum event in our 2016/17 series.

In a thoughtful presentation at Belleville’s Capers Restaurant, Michael focused on the importance of the Trudeau government maintaining the electorate’s trust – and not going back on its promises. Michael also stressed that our role as Liberals is to hold the government’s proverbial fee to the fire.  As he told the audience, “In today’s new atmosphere, words matter … with words you can build anything; however when words are subject to ‘spin’, people start giving up on the establishment.”

Judging by the audience’s rapt attention, and their questions and comments, Michael’s remarks made for a stimulating evening.

On September 15, 2016, Greg SoGreg Sorbararbara headlined the Bay of Quinte Federal Liberal Association’s first Bridge Forum event of 2016/17. Held at the Belleville Club, here are a few photos we captured of the evening’s event.
