A full slate of 21 directors from all across the new riding of Bay of Quinte was appointed Thursday, January 16th to a big crowd of 70 at the Greek Hall in Belleville.
Ron Hartling, president of the Liberal-held Kingston and the Islands riding, presided over the meeting. As Eastern Ontario’s regional president, he noted that the Bay of Quinte Liberals have been doing the work, and have the energy and ability to achieve “lift off” for the 2015 election.
Former Prince Edward-Hastings President John Brisbois maintained his role in the new riding. In his address to the crowd, he said that Liberal governments have acted with the country’s best interests at heart. He pointed out that there has never been a commitment for improving the lives of the poor from this Conservative government.
The riding brings together the communities of Belleville, Prince Edward County, and Quinte West. The founding meeting was a great chance to get to know our new friends and team as we work together to turn this riding Liberal red in 2015!
